Make an Online Gift - Mail a check or donate online by credit card.

Recurring Donations - When making a donation online, select the "Make this a monthly recurring donation" option to do automatic monthly donations of $15 or more.

Membership Dues Donation - Contribute $35 or more on your membership dues statement designated to the SME Foundation General Fund or SMEF program of your choice. Your tax-deductible contributions to the Foundation provide necessary funding for programs that support important education, outreach and professional development to the SME community and mining industry.

Employee Matching Gifts - Your employer may match your charitable contributions to the SME Foundation. Ask your HR representative for guidelines. Click here to a view a list of Companies with Matching Gift Programs.

Tribute Gifts - Make a donation in honor of or in memory of a family member, friend, colleague or a special holiday or occasion. We will send an acknowledgment of your recognition gift but will keep the amount private.

Donate Your Unwanted Vehicle - All you need to do is to complete our simple online donation form or call 866-628-2277 and we’ll take care of the rest. We will pick up your vehicle, arrange to have your donation towed, and provide you with a tax-deductible receipt, all at no charge to you. Appreciated Securities* - You may be able to avoid out-of-pocket expenses and capital gains when you donate publicly traded stock and mutual funds held long-term (more than one year) to the SME Foundation. For transfer instructions click here.

IRA Rollover Distribution* - Taxpayers age 72 or older may be able to transfer up to $100,000 annually from their IRA accounts directly to the SME Foundation without first having to recognize the distribution as income. Contact your IRA plan administrator to transfer a gift directly from your IRA to the SME Foundation to help support our profession and the industry.
